Analysis of the college magazine questionnaire

To research into college magazines I designed and distributed a college magazine questionnaire. I discovered that over 50 per cent of those surveyed did not read the college magazine. This suggests to me that the product is not working; it does not reach or appeal to its target audience. The reason they don’t read the college magazine is because it’s boring and nothing is appealing to the students. The target audience i.e. students suggested from the college magazine questionnaire would like the main four headings which are sports, music, college events and jobs (part-time work- examples supermarkets). There are other headings what some would like to see in the magazine for instance fashion and ‘student gossip’ (Females side of the magazine). Over 50 per cent of students said they would pay for the magazine but no more than 50 pence. Most students would want the magazine published fortnightly or even making it monthly because of the making and timing it takes to do the magazine. Developing an on-line format version of the magazine students said yes but its just setting it up and paying for it, which would be subscribing to the magazine. One hundred per cent of students want an informal styled format purely because of who the target audience are.
